Prof. Evangelos Kranakis has received a three year grant from the Department of
National Defence (DND) to research Network Computing for Distributed
Underwater Acoustic Sensor Networks. The three year project involves
adaptation and development of link-state routing
to underwater acoustic networks as well as opportunistic
communication and topology control. This is part of a national project
on Adaptive Multi-sensor Biometrics for Unsupervised Submarine Hunt
led by the DND that includes a Carleton team (which
involves Prof. Michel Barbeau and Visiting Profs. Joaquin Garcia-Alfaro and Gimer Cervera) that
will also be co-operating with research teams at Dalhousie, McGill and
Concordia Universities.
