  1. Complete the online application (general application web page):

  2. Arrange for application fee payment.

    Please note that a non-refundable application fee of $100.00 CAD is payable to the Ontario Universities Application Centre by Visa or MasterCard.

    Applications will not be processed without the application fee.

  3. Your application package requires two signed copies of the application form downloaded from OUAC.


  4. English Proficiency Test
    1. Candidates should have a score of 580 in their TOEFL test or equivalent with a minimum of in reading writing and listening
    2. All international students where English is not the only Official Language in their country are required to take the TOEFL test (or equivalent).

  5. References
    • Academic references are required for applicants with less than four years of work experience.
    • Academic reference forms can be downloaded from the website.
    • One professional reference can be submitted only by those who have been outside of academia for more than 10 years with the permission of the department.
    • Professional references must be on company letterhead.
    • Academic and professional references should be sent by the referees directly to the SCS Graduate Administrator.

  6. Academic Transcripts
    • Two sets of official transcripts of your university record to date are to be forwarded directly from the institution to the SCS Graduate Administrator.
    • If the transcript is not in English it must be translated to English and signed by a notary or the school. The original transcript and the translated transcript must be submitted.
    • If applicable submit other relevant information such as grading and ranking policy by the university.


  7. Supplement to Application Form and Resume Both documents must be included in your application package.

  9. When to Submit Your Application
    Candidates can apply for either the Fall Term 2012. Candidates who wish to be considered for funding support should apply for the Fall Term 2012 by the due date. Note, that the school does accept applications, which are submitted after the due date. However, candidates who submit their applications late may not be considered for funding support.
    • 2012 Fall Term Admission (September 2012)

    Domestic Students
    • February 28, 2012 - Domestic students, who wish to be considered for funding, up to $15,000 per year (2 years for MCS and 4 years Ph.D.), should submit their applications by February 28, 2012. Only completed applications will be considered and therefore all documents must be received by that day.

      Funding for applications received after February 28 is subject to availability.

    • August 1, 2012 - Last date for submission of applications for Fall 2012 term.

    International Students
    • February 28, 2012 – Last day for international students applications. Only completed applications will be considered and therefore all documents must be received by that day. Applications received after that day may be considered subject to availability of space.

  11. Notification of Acceptance

    Complete applications for both domestic and international students will be processed in the early part of 2012. You will be notified in writing once a decision is made.
