ABSTRACT Cellphones are now becoming part of our daily lives with convenience, simplicity and mobility. Recent research shows that by 2010, there are 5 billion cellphone users all over the world. And most of them are using GSM network. While we are using cellphones, cell towers need to allocate our devices in order to connect our services, there is a great chance that the physical location is revealed to a third party/person. In this project, I am going to present the reasons for this leaking to happen, what kind of attacks could be done base on this problem and solutions for improving the location privacy for the end user. |
