A Web Based Platform For Trading Books

Harsha Deka

ABSTRACT

Education is a system that gives individuals the knowledge required to achieve many goals and apply this knowledge to real-life situations. There is a barrier which prevents students from learning to their full advantage. The barrier includes high costs for attendance to educational institutions and moreover, textbooks are required for students to be able to study. Many students wish to learn to the best of their ability, but due to poor finances, they are unable to afford textbooks. And thereby a web based user interactive platform is required where two users can exchange books. It will save university students a hefty amount of dollars and will spread free knowledge. Currently the system allows two users to exchange. A Problem which can occur is that when a user wishes to exchange a book with another user but does not possess a book that the other user is in need of, the exchange will become complicated. In the future a point system platform will be implemented which will give points to a user who does not have a book another user is in need of. Building such a platform will solve the problem..
