ABSTRACT The Carleton University QR Campus Tour System is an innovative system that will allow individuals who are unable to participate in a guided campus tour to explore and learn about Carleton University and its campus at their own convenience. It offers users a more complete experience and more extensive information than is available with the currently available version of the self-guided tour. The use of QR codes coupled with the jQuery Mobile framework and several reliable web technologies has allowed the creation of an extensible mobile web application system to benefit both visitors as well as existing members of the Carleton community. |
