Carleton University - School of Computer Science Undergraduate Honours Project Winter 2010 Carleton Student Information App for Android Allan Godding 
ABSTRACT As new and prospective students begin their learning experiences at a University, they will often experience a period of information overload and disorganization. In order to provide a subset of this information in a medium that most students already carry with them, the Carleton Student Information App for Android has been developed as an application for the Android operating system. The application has been designed with two modules; one provides degree program information, while the other is an interactive GPS navigation system for the Carleton University campus. This report describes the intended impact the application will have on its users, and how it was designed to accomplish this. To conclude, arguments are presented to confirm that the goals of the project have been met, and several potential enhancements are presented as future work. |
