A Simulation of Virtual Wallet Using the Near Field Communication Technology of Android System

HUI YU HE

ABSTRACT

NFC (Near field Communication) is a wireless technology that allows two devices with NFC embedded chip to exchange data in a few centimetre range. It is expected to be popular for making payments by smart-phone because of its safe and effective characteristics. This project consists of using a Samsung Google Nexus S phone and some Mobifyer mobile contactless tags to simulate the payment processes of shoppers who have their credit card information stored in their NFC smart-phone. They can pay purchases by waving their smart-phone near or tapping them on a NFC tag reader, rather than using the actual credit card.
