MAC Mail Client

Please check the General Settings for the SCS Email for location specific settings.

Mail (Mail.app) is the email client for Mac's OS X. Follow the instructions below to set it up as your mail user agent for SCS email.

Run Mail. Then go to Mail menu then Preferences, select Accounts icon. If this is the first time you are setting up Mail click on the ”+” sign at the bottom of the “Accounts” column and fill in the “Add Account” information.

For “Incoming Mail Server” select IMAP from the drop menu and use the values below.

When you press “Continue” Mail will attempt to authenticate your account and password against the mail server.

In the “Incoming Mail Security” screen use SSL and Password from the drop down menu. See next image.

The “Outgoing Mail Server” should have the following values:

To review your settings go to Mail → Preferences, select “Accounts” and review under “Account Information” and “Advanced” Accounts, advanced information option.

To review or edit server settings go to Mail → Preferences, select “Accounts”, then “Account Information” and select the “Edit Server List” option from the drop down list in “Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)”. The following options are available for editing:

Note that sent messages are kept in the server (“Mailbox Behaviors”). If you use a different mail tool to read your e-mail your sent messages will be under “Sent Mail” directory and this setting might differ from your other tool. Sent massages maybe saved under “sent” directory.

MAC Mail Certificate

You must accept the web certificate permanently in order for you to access the SCS mail server. You will be presented with the window below - accept the certificate and continue.

Subscribe to Mail Folders

To see your network mail folders you will have to subscribe to them FIXME
