Please check the General Settings for the SCS Email for location specific settings.
Navigate the menu to find the new account button: Tools→Options→Mail Setup→Email Accounts→New
Make sure the option
Manually configure server settings or additional server types is checked

Enter your email account information in the Internet Email Settings. Then click
More Settings… 
On the
Outgoing Server tab, check the
My outgoing server requires authentication checkbox

If you are setting up email outside of SCS, make sure to change the settings on the
Advanced Tab

To see your network folders, you may need to subscribe to them. Do do this in Outlook, right-click your SCS email account in the left pane, and select IMAP Folders.
Outlook has a proprietary file format that converts all attachments to winmail.dat. For email receipients who do not use Outlook, you can disable Outlook's formatting, including the proprietary attachments:
Compose the message and right click on the recipient address
Outlook Properties → Internet Format → Send Plain Text Only
