Please check the General Settings for the SCS Email for location specific settings.

1. Navigate the menu to find the new account button: Tools→Options→Mail Setup→Email Accounts→New
2. Make sure the option Manually configure server settings or additional server types is checked
3. Enter your email account information in the Internet Email Settings. Then click More Settings…
4. On the Outgoing Server tab, check the My outgoing server requires authentication checkbox
5. If you are setting up email outside of SCS, make sure to change the settings on the Advanced Tab

When Outlook connects to the SCS mail servers, you will see messages warning that the security certificate cannot be verified. When you see these messages while checking your SCS email, click Yes to continue using the SCS mail and imap servers.

To see your network folders, you may need to subscribe to them. Do do this in Outlook, right-click your SCS email account in the left pane, and select IMAP Folders.

Outlook has a proprietary file format that converts all attachments to winmail.dat. For email receipients who do not use Outlook, you can disable Outlook's formatting, including the proprietary attachments:

1. Compose the message and right click on the recipient address
2. Outlook Properties → Internet Format → Send Plain Text Only
