About the Institute
The Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Computer Science offers a Master of Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. These degree programs are offered through the School of Computer Science at Carleton University and the School of Information Technology and Engineering at the University of Ottawa. The Institute is responsible for supervising the two degree programs and for providing a framework for interaction between the two departments at the research level. In addition, both Schools offer other graduate programs in computer science. Information on these programs may be obtained from the homepages listed above.
Application Information
Due to the large number of enquiries for the OCICS program, a preliminary assessment procedure is carried out before formal applications are made available. Students should apply directly to their institution of choice based on their area of interest and the location of their proposed thesis or project supervisor. Pre-application forms are located on the homepage of both participating departments and should be sent directly to the institution of choice.
