ABSTRACT Data distribution management is mainly concerned with how application data is distributed among different underlying nodes in a distributed environment and how to get the data needed. Our interest is in multi-dimensional range queries in peer to peer overlay networks. To better preserve data locality when the number of nodes in a tree grows exponentially, a new data structure in the distributed environment is proposed to make the routing between nodes faster and more error-resilient.
However, thereâre certain nodes in the structure that are vulnerable compared to others, in case of parent node failure, those nodes will be isolated from the system. Thus, a new routing algorithm is proposed in order to make the routing between nodes more error resilient. The proposed algorithm can be used as an alternative approach to previously developed algorithms while achieving better routing performance.
