ABSTRACT Electronic commerce, well known as E-commerce, is further expanding its processes to the mobile network with the volatile outgrowth of the mobile phone utilization; intersection of the cellular network to IP based network and growing computing ability of cell phone. Nowadays, a lot of services are being offered to ease bill payments through mobile phones. Smart phones are more secure and reliable when compared to the paper methodology. They can be carried easily and also used as âe-walletâ which serves the purpose of making payments electronically through Short Message Service (SMS), Near Field Communication (NFC), Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID), or Bluetooth. Moreover, Mobile device is having more benefits in terms of security, low power consumption and ease of use. In this presentation, we will look how electronic wallets work in both Remote Payment and Proximity Payment types. Then, we will highlight some existing architectures and the expectations of users in order to build trust with these services.
