Interactive Shape- based Graph cut Segmentation Framework: Application to Hip MR Image Segmentation
Speaker: Arezoomandeshadi Sadaf

Location: 240 TB (Tory Building)
ABSTRACT

Segmentation is one of the core components of medical image analysis. While automatic segmentation is more favourable in practice, the accuracy and performance of the algorithms particularly in medical images have higher priority but are not guaranteed in automatic approaches. In this work, we propose an interactive combinatorial optimization based framework for segmentation of femoral head. Our approach focuses on introducing a predefined shape term to the traditional graph cut segmentation method in order to overcome the negative influence of bias fields produced by MR imaging machines.
