Computers are an integral part of society and control many of the systems and resources that are essential for daily life. As the range of computer applications continues to expand, so does the demand for computer scientists. It is an ever-changing discipline that studies the theory, design, and implementation of computer applications and systems. Imagine learning about how to use computing and information technology to solve problems in business, science, and society in the nation's capital, a city with over 1,700 high tech firms.
