Bachelor of Computer Science Streams
The Computer Science program is organized into ten streams, six with specializations in Computer Science and four offering multidisciplinary studies. All streams share a common core of Computer Science courses including programming, algorithms, software engineering, databases, and user interfaces.
redbar Specialization Streams

redbar Honours Software and Computing Stream 2011-2012
Study the theory and practice of software, while discovering advanced computing methods and theories. You will receive the same core training in computer science and software engineering that is in our other streams, but with an added flexibility to make your own choices of more advanced topics.

redbar Honours Computer and Internet Security Stream 2011-2012
Computer and internet security has become a critical issue in society because of the vulnerability of our computing and communication networks to hackers and malicious software such as viruses and worms. You will acquire a solid background in computer science and software engineering as well as depth in both the foundations and the practise of information systems security, including computer and network security, cryptography and software security.

redbar Honours Mobile Computing 2011-2012
We are seeing explosive growth in the use of computers in our daily lives. Mobile communication devices such as the iPhone and the BlackBerry can run a wide variety of computer applications, from games to GPS navigation. Social networking applications like Facebook and MySpace are giving us new ways to connect with other people. In this stream, you will learn about such applications in four unconventional courses. The courses have no lectures, but instead have labs in which you will learn through 'hands-on' experience, under the guidance of instructional staff and in collaboration with your classmates. This unique approach to Computer Science instruction will be based on Apple's development platform and will require each student in the stream to have their own Mac notebook computer.
