As of this Fall, 2010, requirements for the Bachelor of Computer Science degree programs have been updated. There is now more FLEXIBILITY in our curriculum and fewer mandatory Computer Science courses (except in Biomedical Computing). Your audit will be automatically updated by June 21, 2010 to reflect the new program requirements. You do not have to do anything.
- COMP 1402 renumbered to COMP 2401. Content remains the same and 1402 will be credited as 2401 if already completed.
- Math requirement for MATH 2107 and 3101 has become a choice: 0.5 credit in MATH 2007, 2107 or 3101.
- COMP 4804 is now only required in the Biomedical Computing stream.
- Experimental Science requirement is removed from the Game stream.
- Electives are more flexible. You no longer have to take some of your electives in Arts, Social Sciences or Business. You can take them all in Science if you wish.
If, for some reason, you DO NOT want to move to the new requirements, you must email undergraduate_advisor scs.carleton.ca by May 3, 2010 from your connect email account and include your student number and full name. Keep in mind, though, that the updates are to your advantage, and will give you more choices in how to complete your program.
