Biography
After working in the high tech industry for nearly 10 years as a software developer and team leader, Dr. Laurendeau completed her PhD in 2009 and embarked on her second career as a tenured Instructor with the School of Computer Science.

Dr. Laurendeau served as Associate Director (Undergraduate) from 2011 to 2014, then as the School's Co-op Faculty Advisor from 2014 to 2018. More recently, she was the Associate Director (Recruitment) from 2018 until June 2023. She is currently the Deputy Director of the School of Computer Science.

Dr. Laurendeau specializes in teaching first and second year computer programming courses, with a focus on software engineering.
